Did you know that when we participate in Random Acts of Kindness, we produce happy endorphins? It is a sure-fire way to feel better about ourselves, boost our mood and to do something good in the world. It helps us boost our happiness and build healthier relationships. This also is true for the receiver of this act of kindness and boosts their well-being also. This can be as simple as paying for a stranger’s coffee (prepay it when you buy yours) or of course something grander… whatever the case, it gives you a feeling of service in the world.
This then creates an energy of pay it forward, where the recipient may feel inspired to do this for someone else, and thus a ripple out effect takes place…. And doesn’t that sound good! Who knows where that ripple would end, if ever!
Some simple ideas could be giving a compliment, sharing a kind word, unexpected gifting, showing gratitude, doing an act of service for someone else, showing respect, acknowledging good things that someone has done, smiling at a stranger, giving some of your time to someone else, donate, volunteer, leave a gold coin for the shopping trolley, share some baking, be present instead of on your phone when with others, post to social media something uplifting… the list goes on and on.
I hope this inspires you to start your own Random Acts of Kindness, our community will benefit greatly, as will you! And if no-one has told you today, Thank you, you are awesome, and I believe in you!
